A summer’s day in Bregenz

Here’s what we think is the perfect day out in our state's capital.

Gruppenausflugsziel Bregenz

Kick off your group trip with a cultural highlight and a look behind the scenes of the world-famous Bregenz Festival. This 50-minute guided tour gives fascinating insights into the inner workings of the world's largest lake stage.

Follow that with a stroll along the lake Promenade, past the charming Fischersteg pier to the Pfänder cable car. This ride will take your group up to an altitude of 1,064 metres where you can enjoy a panoramic lunch on the terrace at the Berghaus Pfänder’s. Schnitzel, kässpätzle and kaiserschmarren taste even better with views of 240 alpine peaks.

In the afternoon, there's is the choice between a leisurely stroll through town with ice cream and campari, or an exploration of Bregenz Bay on board one of Bodenseeschifffahrt's fine vessels. Round the day off with ‘Bregenz City and Wine Stories’, a guided tour culminating in a trip to the Weinheurigen Möth vineyard where you enjoy a wine tasting with delicious treats to accompany your evening meal.
