Juppen Workshop Riefensberg

Juppenwerkstatt Riefensberg

The Juppen is the traditional costume of the Bregenzerwald. At this extraordinary production site, visitors can discover five centuries of craftsmanship and how this international-renowned Wälderjuppe is made. The fabric is made of the finest pure linen from Flanders and produced on machines that are over 100 years old. A visit to the Juppen workshop is worthwhile for traditional costume enthusiasts and architecture alike, as the building’s north-east façade has been replaced by a unique surface combining glass and wooden struts.

A special offer is available for groups of 26 or more: a 90-minute guided tour with an artisan. For groups of less than 26 people, 75-minute guided tours are offered. After the tour, there is the opportunity to taste a special glass of local schnapps from the Anton Raid distillery in Riefensberg.
