Affectionately known as the KUB, this architecturally unmistakable art centre was opened in 1997 and has since hosted some of the biggest names in international contemporary art. The building is an artwork in itself, designed by the renowned architect Peter Zumthor, and a significant contribution to the Bregenz skyline. The exhibition concept here is unique: four times a year, the entire four-storey building is completely rearranged and taken over by a different international artist. This makes it an unmissable destination for visitors with even a passing interest in art and architecture. Guided tours and various events are also offered throughout the year.
